Honors and a Word
Mar 25th 2007Nik AgarwalRantings
After sifting through the mail over the weekend, I noticed an invitation for Phi Kappa Phi, which is an invitation-only honors fraternity. Unlike the classification, it is open to both males and females. I’m not sure whether I should be honored by this invitation, although it is quite honorable to be invited. I think the reason behind the lack of enthusiasms for this great opportunity lies in the fact that I simply refuse to allow the success that I have been enjoying to overcome me. My past is often filled with events that I am not at ease of still talking about, but I do feel that I have earned the success I am enjoying in many ways. However, to keep myself in check and not to become weak, I refuse to accept any of the current positive events as successes. Mainly, I view them as positive feedback that encourages me to continually improve my ways and be better than before. I think one day, I will turn around, smile, and take a deep breath. However, for now, I am simply moving forward and only focusing on progress and not the results yet.
Where the heck have I been?
I know that I am strong believer in posting daily on a blog if it is to be successful. Unfortunately, these past two weeks and the next few weeks are filled with dozens of deadlines and projects that simply need my sincerest attention. I am unable to simply sit down and crank out a post daily. However, I am doing my best to write in more detail and posts that are a bit more controversial since I feel my blog should go in that direction. I think one of my future posts will outline possible new directions for this blog and will explain the different categories found within this blog. In the meantime, I regret to say that my posting will be erratic, but I will do my best to adhere to my one-post-a-day policy. Maybe this is a great time for guest bloggers on my blog? If you are interested, please feel free to contact me and let me know.
