At the beginning of this month, I knew that I would be busy with work and some school related tasks. What I did not count on was the amount of work I would need to do for NIU’s IIE chapter. We just bought a new site and are now in the process of updating it and customizing it to our preferences. To be honest, since we don’t have a webmaster right now, I am doing most of the modifications myself. It should come as no surprise to anyone that I am using the Joomla! framework for the site since it is very easy and very powerful.

Due to my busy work schedule and the need to work on IIE related stuff, I’m realizing that I have very little time to devote to my blog. By no means is this blog in danger of falling apart and dying, but it does mean that until my work ends, I don’t foresee much free time. Most of my free time is during the weekend and I am using that free time to work on IIE things so that I have less to do once school starts. Now that this is my last year, I know for a fact that I am going to be busy with projects and plant tours. Hopefully I can balance being the President of IIE and a full-time student.

Give me a few moments and I will definitely have some great posts ready to go. Who knows, I might even have a contest in the works
